Congratulations to Brendoncare
Our congratulations to long-standing client, Brendoncare, which has won national recognition for excellence in volunteering. The care charity for older people is celebrating having been awarded the Investing in Volunteers accreditation, putting it among the top 300 organisations involving volunteers in the country.
Brendoncare provides health and social care for older people through 10 care centres and over 70 friendship clubs; volunteers are crucial to the delivery of these services, running the clubs and providing integral support within the care centres.
Brendoncare’s Volunteering Manager, Julie Lamont, said: “We are delighted with this accreditation. It lets everyone know just how committed Brendoncare is to its volunteers, and how well we look after them. We knew we had an excellent team of volunteers so this award is recognition of that.”
Ron Staker, Brendoncare’s Chief Executive, added: “Volunteers help us deliver excellence in care by adding a valuable extra dimension to our services. They give their time and skills so generously, and their energy and enthusiasm are exceptional and very much appreciated.”
Julie Lamont added: “People now know that volunteering with Brendoncare will be an enjoyable experience and that they will be welcomed into a friendly, supportive organisation that has totally embraced the many advantages that volunteers bring.
