UK launch of new 'super berry' supplement

White Total Design, has played a leading role in the UK launch of ‘Darvida’, the first Amazonian Açaí Berry Supplement available on the high street.

Bournemouth-based Ceuta Healthcare, which has the European marketing rights to this Brazilian product, appointed WTD who, from an initial brief, were tasked to identify a name, devise a logo and brand mark, design the packaging and create point of sale leaflets and design the website.

The brand name ‘Darvida’, which can be roughly translated as ‘for life’, is depicted in a font, along with an icon, that represents the origins of the berry. The Darvida icon features an image of the Amazonian Açai Berry tree and the striking green and claret packaging portrays the Amazon River and the green canopy of the rainforests.

Açaí (ah-sigh-ee) is a Brazilian Super Berry grown in the Amazon rainforest.  It has more antioxidants than blueberries, healthy omega fatty acids and many vitamins and minerals.  Açai is being heralded as the most nutritious fruit in the world.  It is a natural super anti-oxidant which helps to protect cells against damage from free radicals, maintain healthy cholesterol levels and support your immune system. It is a small dark purple berry, with a taste combination like blueberry & chocolate

The consumer website (www.darvida.co.uk) gives a wealth of information about the Brazilian berry which is considered to be one of nature’s most complete and healthy organic foods. The accompanying website (www.acai-institute.co.uk) outlines the scientific background behind Açai.

Darvida went on sale in Boots throughout the UK in February, costing around £15.99 per pack of 60 capsules, and early sales results are very encouraging.
