Music Fusion Case Study
Music Fusion is one of 24 Youth Music Action Zones in England and Wales, providing music-making activities for young people, in Fareham, Gosport, Havant and Portsmouth, who might otherwise not have the opportunity.
The Brief
Music Fusion needed to develop new and innovative materials to aid parents, carers and others involved with young children (0-3 years). They would be used to advance children’s educational and social development through the magic of music.
Music Fusion asked us to create a 56 page song book accompanied by a CD aimed at inspiring those caring for young children to develop their music skills.
The solution
A vibrant illustrated song book designed to inspire those that work with children. The initiative was hailed as an innovative idea and Music Fusion Project Manager, Richard Wright, is delighted with the project and the quality of the training materials created.
Richard said: “The Guide to Music 0-3 years is aimed at anyone involved with the care of babies and young children, and contains songs, activities and information which will help enrich children’s early development. One of Music Fusion’s key objectives is to improve access to music and to help inspire those involved in early years’ care and education to develop and then share their musical skills with children.
This book and CD set will be a valuable resource for us and will help us in our commitment to introduce children to music in an accessible and fun way.”
Samantha Clough, Business Development Manager at WTD, added: “This has been a really rewarding project to be involved with, as music is a great way of communicating with children. The quality of materials is crucial in the success of any training project and we ensured that the messages were relayed clearly and portrayed in a colourful and appealing way.”
