1 Community Case Study
OneCommunity, formerly Eastleigh Community Services, is an independent charity established to improve the quality of life for residents in the borough of Eastleigh. They support local voluntary activities and provide a range of services and facilities, particularly for older people, carers and people with disabilities.
The brief
With an expanding geography a new brand identity was needed to reflect the increasing range and scope of the services provided. We were approached to create a new name for ECS and to develop a strong brand identity for them which would reflect their services. The new identity needed to be consistent throughout the organisation and used on transport, shops and their website.
The solution
A new name, ‘OneCommunity’, which reflects the purpose and the aims of the charity. The distinctive blue and green logo represents the values of the charity and the community working together for the good of its residents. The new image has been incorporated on all of the literature and materials produced by the charity, as well as on its charity shop and buses.
WTD Account Manager, Nicola Payne, commented: “We were extremely pleased to work on this project, designing the new image to create a fresh vibrant look which reflects the excellent work carried out by OneCommunity. Our approach is to truly understand our client’s marketing and communications objectives, enabling us to produce work which adds value to their communication efforts.”
OneCommunity’s Head of Voluntary Sector Support, Nikki Matthews, added: “The WTD team took time to understand our objectives, which resulted in all their work meeting our brief well. We are receiving excellent feedback from those who use our services about the new logo and the clarity and professionalism of the literature.”
